Book #17: "Wither" ...Finished!!

Book #17 "Wither" by Lauren DeStefano: 'Things here are more frightening than even I could have imagined. Life is much different from the days when there were lilies in my mother's garden, and all my secrets fit into a paper cup.' -pg. 204.
May I start by saying: This is probably one of the best books I have read yet! 'Wither' kept me captivated the entire time and had me to the point that I was reading it while walking to class and pretty much doing nothing else with my free time.
To give you an idea, it was very much so like the movie 'In Time' (yes the one with J.T. in it), all the kids that where born in this futuristic world died at the age of 25 for boys and 20 for girls. So in order to keep repopulating the earth the girls would get kidnapped as early as 13 to be sold as brides to the rich. 'Wither' follows the story of 16 year old Rhine Ellery, who is kidnapped and then sold to become a bride along with 2 other girls.
From the start Rhine does everything she can to get out of the fancy and more then slightly frightening world she has landed in and constantly has the goal of getting back to her twin brother, her home, and her freedom. As I have said DeStefano has a way of keeping her readers hooked. This has to be one of the best things I have read in a while.
I am deeply looking forward to finding out what happens to Rhine in the next book in the trilogy, which also happens to be book #18 and it is 'Fever' by Lauren DeStefano.

   That is all for now,
