Book #12: "Frankenstein" ....Finished!!!

Book #12 "Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley: So I'm not going to wast my time or your time by going on and on and on about 'oh my gosh I haven't written on this blog in forever!' or any of that stuff let's instead just get right to the good stuff, shall we?
"Frankenstein" was, in a word, disturbing.
There is simply no other word for it! While reading it one can't help but wonder, 'what in the heck was Mary Shelley thinking?!'... personally I don't know that I want to know because my bet would be that she was one strange kid.
So I am going to be honest here and say the thing that probably bugged me the most about this was when Dr. Frankenstein (yes that's right the doctor's name is Frankenstein and they just call his creation either 'the creature' or 'the monster' the majority of the time) is creating the monster and right after it comes to life there is no 'IT'S ALIVE!!!!!' if fact Dr. Frankenstein then just kinda runs away.
Very disappointing to me for some strange reason.
The only other thing that i really gave any serious thought to was the fact that Dr. Frankenstein ends up marring his (basically) half-sister! EWW!! I mean surely there was someone else that Shelly could have had him marry?
All in all the story was good very full of grim and vivid details at every point (even on subjects that you didn't think it was possible to give so many details on).
That's all for book #12, next up for book #13 is "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince".

   Until next time,
    Michaela Jane
